Nuggets got chomped
Posted (February 8th, 2010 at 10:05 pm PST) by SandonThe web-server nuggets is currently down as it was throwing some file-system journaling errors and thus we had to restart it into single-user mode to run a fsck (file-system check). This process has been known to take anywhere from 1-5 hours depending on the amount of data/files on the server. More updates to come as they are available.
Update 3:20am Pacific: The file system check on this server has been completed and it is coming back online now! We will be closely monitoring the server. Please contact support if you are still experiencing any issues!
Update 10:45am Pacific: The machine has been rebooted and came back fine. If you’re still having issues, it’s most likely unrelated, so please send support a ticket with details. Sorry again about the inconvenience this downtime has caused!

“fsck (file-system check)”
I wonder what prompted you to expand the acronym.
Not everyone knows what fsck is, and some people might assume it’s just an obscured pejorative – “This machine is thoroughly fscked.”
Will this affect my appointment as Prime Minister?
@Duc de Broglie, no, only Nuggets is affected.

Arr,
I just put a support ticket saying just that (in-case you guys didn’t see it go into that mode).
DOH!
Glad to see you guys are on the ball.
