Canceled: Scheduled Power Outage 3/6/2010 — Garland Building
Posted (March 3rd, 2010 at 12:14 pm PST) by robertnCanceled: No work this weekend.
We have been informed of a scheduled maintenance window by the building management company for this Saturday, March 6th, 2010. From their email:
Start time: 6:00am pacific 03/06/10
End time: 12:00pm pacific 03/06/10
Expected Duration of Power Outage: 6 hours
This maintenance has been scheduled by Morlin Management who should have already notified you. The purpose of this work is building power maintenance.
Our data center does have backup power generators, and this should not cause a disruption of service. We strive to keep our customers informed of ongoing improvements. This shouldn’t hurt a bit…

Did you read the message, Bob? “Our data center does have backup power generators, and this should not cause a disruption of service.”
Therefore, the list of the webserver will be affected is the null set…
Although I know you say there will be no disruption of service, my site, http://www.theworkof.co.uk appears to be down and therefore my email system as well.
Hey guess what Neil, it isn’t Saturday yet.
My apologies! Didn’t read that, obviously.
Webmail is fucked right now
The CP appears to be down too. Keep getting “The connection was reset” error
Nice.
Yeah. My whole account is reading as “disabled,” all email bouncing, all sites down, and now I can’t log into the CP! Maybe they sent me an email (to my disabled email address) to tell me why.
Yeah, things appear pretty FUBAR right now. All sites are down on my PS account.
My sites are down…Connection was reset…is this an scheduled power outage too??
Didn’t Dreamhost leave the Garland building? or am I just hallucinating that..
You’re hallucinating, Joe.
Are you guys even reading the post? This doesn’t happen until SATURDAY, so posting any kind of a problem here before then is not related, just retarded.
Okay, then there is a problem before hand, and since there was no list of possible servers that MIGHT be affected, even if there was a generator, means there is an unreported problem elsewhere in the network.
My site is down as well.

WTF?
a list of the webserver will be affected?
would be nice to know, so some costumers can manage upcoming business damage
no backup diesel generators #fail this sucks a lot!
