Sabretooth lost its teeth
Posted (March 14th, 2010 at 9:17 pm PST) by KenSabretooth is having raid issues. We are currently running an fsck on the drive which can take up to 2-3 hours and will update this post when finished. Until the fsck is up, all services on sabretooth will be down.
We regret the inconvenience and will get services restored as soon as possible. Your Dreamhost NOC team.
UPDATE 2010 Mar 15 @03:59: Sabretooth has started pass 1C in the filesystem check, so it shouldn’t be too much longer now.
UPDATE 2010 Mar 15 #04:37: Sabretooth is now back up. If you experience problems with your service, please contact us through the normal channels. Again, thank you for your patience.

Oops, that’s not it, I’m on Swampthing. Opened a support case.
“its” teeth.
First time in four years Sabretooth has gone down. Naturally, DH only goes down when I actually need to work on something
#Grammar Police: Thanks – I always get tripped up on that
Guys, you’d better fix everything fast. Every hour we are loosing money because of this problem.
lolz beersurfing. me too…
i’ve been on sabretooth for what seems like FOREVER and its never skipped a beat. and then tonight, right before a dev team meeting… oh well, thats murphy’s law for you.
How can I tell which server I’m on? Thank you
I am having a lot of problems on yohoo as well. Can you look into that? Keeps getting econnabort errors for the past few hours. Can’t do shit.
why so many people who post here seem to have no clue what server they are on?
I can’t imagine how anyone can go through the process of opening an account, setting up a domain and uploading data and not know where any of that is happening.
All of my sites are down at the moment. Is something going on at DreamHost right now?
PS20379 is down yet again today. Nothing on this status page even though they said admins were working on the machine earlier and that’s why it was offline. Now it’s offline again.
Sabretooth is offline for the second time in two days. This system was pretty stable up until this point. I wonder what gives?
All my sites are down…
just when you think you’re gonna get a clear run..DH does it again
I’ve worked in data center jobs for 6 years now…this kinda stuff happens all the time unfortunately. Just random hardware crashes after years and sometimes it takes awhile to get fixed up right. Sometimes the true problem doesn’t rear its head the first time around. Anyway, was already considering moving to a PS…this just might have hastened that decision..

Could this be why all my sites are failing to respond? How can I tell which server my sites are running on?
