RESOLVED LAX connectivity issues

We are currently experiencing some difficulty with our network links to our LAX datacenter. This is causing issues with the swarthy, looney, and frisky clusters, as well as dedicated servers.
Our network engineers are looking into this and we will have a resolution as soon as possible.

We are currently experiencing some networking issues that may affect access to Dreamhost servers. The problem is being looked into at this time and we will post with updated information as soon as it becomes available.

Network link between two of our facilities are having issues. This affects all dedicated customers and machines in the frisky cluster. Our Admins are diligently working towards resolving this issue. Please check back for future updates.

hornet getting DoS’d, LAX facility suffers

The machine hornet is currently under a very large denial of service attack and it’s saturating our network to our LAX facility. Our network engineers are currently looking at the situation and should have a solution soon. We will post an update as soon as we have new information.

Downtime on spacey cluster

One of our file servers is getting rebooted. This may be causing slowness or downtime if your domains/email is on the spacey servers. No data was affected. You can verify if this affected you by checking your Account Status (Your Email Server) on the upper right side of the control panel.

We are currently experiencing severe packet loss between the Garland building and our LAX datacenter. This is affecting most dedicated server customers as well as all customers in the “frisky” cluster. This includes the following web servers:

Network slowness for the past hour

It appears that I, in a stroke of brilliance, mis-pasted the same IP addresses into both of our core routers. This caused an effective bridging loop as both of our routers fought for the ip address.
