Gotti Got Filesystem Checks

During a routine kernel upgrade, an oddity in debian’s e2fsprogs package forced a filesystem check on gotti. Unfortunately, as has been commonplace on this status page lately, this is going to take an hour or two. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this inconvenience and check this space for updates.

Trafficante is down

The server ‘trafficante’ was rebooted and is currently running a file-system check. This typically takes ~1 hour to complete. This status post will be updated once the it is done and the machine finishes booting.

Burke down for the count!

It seems that Burke has crashed today, and needs to be rebooted. The server is coming up now, however, like capone, needs to be checked. This check can take several hours. We’re working on getting this machine up as fast as possible, and apologize for the problems this causes!

The server Capone was having problems, so while looking into it we soft rebooted it. Unfortunately, it didn’t come back from that reboot, so we had go for a complete reboot (powercycle). bonanno server having problems

Our server, bonanno, is experiencing some uptime problems. While investigating some issues on it, the server became unresponsive to our admins and required a reboot. Unfortunately, it never came back up after it was rebooted. Our admins are on their way down to the datacenter now in order to get this back up and running. [...]

Scalise Dirtnap

Scalise went down unexpectedly a bit ago and has been undergoing filesystem recovery since. We expect it to be back up within a hour, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Nipper (MySQL) going down shortly for maintenance

The MySQL server ‘nipper’ is going down for some short maintenance at 3 AM PST. The outage should be less than 15 minutes and likely less than 10. I apologize for the late notice about this outage.
