It looks like one of our web-server ‘exodus’ was unresponsive and had not came back up after we attempted to power-cycle it remotely. Right now an admin is en-route to the data center to check out the situation.

It looks like we may be having problems with our central databases again. It’s effecting our control panel, WebMail and DreamHost Apps. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. The admin team is looking into this now to try to get it resolved as quickly as possible.

We now have a critical patch from our file server vendor which they believe will fix the crashing problems we’ve had. It takes 20 minutes to install, and unfortunately requires a reboot. We’ve decided to schedule this upgrade for 11:30pm PDT [...]
Due to a typing error on our primary router while trying to block a denial of service attack, DreamHost is currently offline. This includes all email, web hosting, etc. A technician is about 15 minutes out from our datacenter to undo this mistake.
