We’re So Pretty

Some of you might have noticed the new coat of paint here on the status blog. For those of you fretting about any issues you might currently be having — or how a new theme doesn’t really help your sites get back up any faster — please don’t. The Support Team is seriously working hard at sorting thru the open tickets in the system and resolving them as quickly as possible while I write this entry.

We just figured that most of you would appreciate something a little cleaner (see: modern) than what was here in the past. Hopefully you find it to be a bit more readable and generally nicer to deal with. Should you notice any problems with the new theme tho, let us know in the comments!

Yep, we just had a decent sized earthquake in the greater LA area, but everything looks fine so far. We’ve done a quick inventory of our machines down in our datacenter and everything appears to be okay.

We’ll update this post if any issues manage to come up due to the earthquake.

Power Outage - Generators working

One of our main data centers is unfortunately dealing with a power outage at this time.

We are in the clear at the moment as all of our servers are still up. We will update you as soon as the building has this issue resolved. Nothing will go down because of this issue, if there is downtime caused by this we will update this post.

Update: We are back on city power. If you have downtime issues it was not related to the power outage. This particular incident did not cause any service problems.

Just writing to let everyone know that this doesn’t appear to have affected our San Francisco servers at all, nor our LA datacenters (didn’t feel it at all in LA)

Incoming Support Requests/ Replies via E-mail Delayed Since Sunday

Our support system had inadvertently held back all incoming support requests sent in via E-mail since sometime in Sunday. While we thought we had cleaned out most of the support requests by the middle of the day today, we later found out that there were 100’s waiting to still come into our support queue due to a clog in the system. It appears as if they had been building up since sometime on Sunday and we have only received them to reply to within the last hour or 2.

If you have sent in a support request / reply since Sunday and have yet to receive a response, please do not write in again. We have the request and will be answering it as efficiently as our tech support personal can handle them. This DID NOT affect support requests sent in through our control panel.

NOTE: Replying to this blog post will not get your support request read any quicker, however if it feels good DO IT!

Power update.

Our building has let us know that they’re planning a 2 minute power outage today at 6pm PDT (in about two hours) THAT WILL NOT AFFECT US IN ANY WAY.

(A different feed, a different grid.)

Nonetheless we’ll be here, just because you can’t be too safe.

They also say exactly the same thing for 9pm PDT this Sunday. Again, IT WILL NOT AFFECT US IN ANY WAY.
